Steve Smith has been announced as the captain of the Welsh Fire side in the inaugural edition of 'The Hundred'. The former Australian captain was chosen ahead of the likes of Englishmen Jonny Bairstow and Liam Plunkett, who are also a part of the side.

Following Manchester Originals' Sanjiv Goenka's confirmation, the Oval Invincibles, who sold their 49 per cent stake to the Mumbai Indians' owners, the Ambani Family, are set to rebrand themselves as MI London after the new ownership takes effect from October 1, 2025.
